Whistler weather provides for world class skiing
conditions in the winter season and warm sunny days in the summer
season. Located in the Coast Mountain Range of the west coast

December and February every year. The best skiing is generally

between -10 C and 5 C in the village. The mountain top is
about 7 to 10 C cooler and with windchill can reach –
40 C. Be prepared for extreme weather conditions when skiing
at Whistler. The average snowfall in Whistler is 360 inches
or 30 feet or over 9 meters per year. Whistler and Blackcomb
mountain offers more than 5280 vertical feet, more than
30 ski lifts, more than 200 runs, and restaurants at the
top and bottom of the mountain. Whistler snowfall rivals

Summer Winter
Whistler and Blackcomb mountain is increasing popular summer
resort destination, offering many summer activities. Most
popular summer activities include golfing, moutain biking
on the ski slopes, hiking, and fishing. The Whistler weather
during the summer months of June – September range
from 9 C and 27 C. Whistler weather can even reach highs
of over 30 C so remember to bring lots of suntan lotion
to protect yourself from the UV rays when playing a round
of golf or hiking the trails. An interesting fact is that
Whistler is typically drier than Vancouver during the summer
months so you can expect more sun and less rain. Thus enjoying
the summer in the Whistler village or around Whistler and
Blackcomb mountain is easier than in Vancouver where the
weather is more unpredictable. |

Whistler Historical Snowfall
Whistler weather provides ideal snow conditions
and makes Whistler and Blackcomb mountain an ideal ski resort
destination. The historical Whistler snowfall conditions are
below and give you an idea of the snowfall between the months
of November through May. It has been common for skiing at Whistler
to start as early as November and last till end of April, sometimes
May. Whistler snowfall accumulations are quite significant and
are one of the best for any ski resort in the world. However,
Whistler weather has not helped out much in the past two years
(2005 and 2006). Whistler snowfall accummulations have been
lower then expected. However, everyone in Whistler is optimistic
that Whistler snowfall will be great during the 2010 Olympics.

What to Wear for Whistler Weather?
Whistler weather in the winter months, it’s
best to wear wind-proof and water-proof clothing with Gore-tex
layers. Layering your winter weather clothing is the best choice
as it gives you options to de-layer if the weather becomes too
warm. There is good winter weather material that provides you
with moisture reducing breathable cloths. Shopping for winter
clothing wear at Blackcomb and Whistler village is also available
and you can find a great selection of the good quality winter
weather clothing.
In the summer months at Whistler,
t-shirts and shorts during the day and bring a windbreaker or
light jacket for the evenings. Most of the other months will
require some long pants such as jeans or waterproof layers depending
on your activities.
